Gwenness – Inside ITU Racing

ITU-style racing, also known as: draft-legal triathlon is far and away the most compelling brand of triathlon to watch.  And right now, there’s nobody more exciting to follow than American Gwen Jorgensen.  The tall, lanky, former Wisconsin Badger, burst onto the scene two seasons ago by winning WTS San Diego.  She hasn’t looked back since, dominating almost every race she has started since.

For those unfamiliar with the differences between draft-legal racing, and non-draft legal racing, CXHairs.com put together a really cool video following Gwen’s win at the first race of this year’s WTS in Abu Dhabi.  CX Hairs, which typically covers cyclocross racing, does a fantastic job of featuring some highlights along with tidbits of information throughout the video.

Here’s hoping we see more of these in the near future!

Also, if you like what you see, and want to watch coverage throughout the year, the ITU does a great job with their Triathlon Live broadcasts.  You can subscribe for a season pass which has access to all races and tons of on-demand coverage.
