New 2015 Cervelo R2

In an effort to be consistent and offer a wide range of options across all road and TT platforms, it looks like Cervelo will unveil a new R-Series bike for 2015.

Though we’ve got no details aside from this Bicycling Magazine ad, it looks to be a 11-speed 105 equipped R-series.  More details to come as we get them!

UPDATE (7-16-14): Cervelo has just officially announced the release of the 2015 R2, which according to the press release is available to ship.  At $2,500, this will be a tremendous option for someone looking for an entry-level price point with pro-tour level engineering.  The components – as suspected – are the newest addition to the Shimano 11-speed family, 5800 105.  If you’ve got any questions about Cervelo’s new R2, or any of the other products we carry, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

when will this bike be available?

    Will the R2 accept 700 x 28 tires?

    • Andres says:

Cervelo’s official answer is that the bike is compatible with 25mm tires. Which isn’t to say the bike won’t work with bigger tires, however the way 28mm tires will fit varies depending on brand, and rim width and thus they can’t guarantee they’ll always work.

Hi when will the 2015 p2 be available in the UK??? I have been trying to get p2d 2014 in size 61 for ages but they are sold out everywhere!
Will it be the same colour scheme components etc just with 11 speed?

    • Andres says:

Alasdair, you’d want to check with your UK distributor for that information as we don’t have details of timing/spec of Cervelo in the UK. Thanks for visiting our website!

Have an RS. Will the R2 be available as a frameset only?

    • Andres says:

Hi, the “2 bikes” (R2, S2, and P2) are not offered as framesets only. That’s not to say that we couldn’t sell an R2 as a frameset, however the price would be the same as an R3.
